You are standing at the main gate on the south side of the city. Easy
Street runs [E]ast and [W]est from here. Expert Street also starts here and
runs [N]orth between tall buildings towards the city center. Heading [S]outh
will take you back through the main gate and inside the city walls.

BEGIN_DESCRIPTION
You're now at the east end of East Street. The street continues [E]ast but
is in really bad shape; the road looks cracked and sunken, and the brush has
grown out of control. Following Easy Street [W]est will taken you near the
south city wall gate.
There's also an [I]nn here called "Rogue's Inn". It looks pretty busy and
reasonably friendly inside. This close to the city wall is pretty safe, so
most people inside have let their guard down to have a good time.

Like most of the city streets, West Easy Street is a mess. Garbage lies
in the street and rats scurry around in packs. Easy Street continues to the
[W]est towards a burned-out car that's been rolled on to it's side.
To the [N]orth is a quiet and dark looking park. It may have been a
beautiful place at one time, but now it exudes evil and you can feel animal
eyes glaring at you from inside.

The road here has begun to sink into the ground and the trees and bushes
grow out of control. The whole area smells of damp decay. Looking closely,
you can see paths to the [E]ast and [S]outh leading deep into a swamp.
A much more enticing route [W]est will take you back to Easy Street again
and another road, called Medial, heads [N]orth from you here.

BEGIN_DESCRIPTION
You're standing on the west-end of Easy Street next to a burnt-out car
lieing on its side. There are abandoned cars in various states of disrepair
all over the city, but this one, a '21 Ford Mustang, is the most destroyed one
you've seen. Walking around the car, you notice a body, picked almost clean
by rats and who knows what else, crushed underneath.
There is a boarded up [S]tore on the south-side of the street. The sign
above the door is almost illegible now but reads, "Chock Full O' Nuts." You
you could probably squeeze through some boards to get in if you wanted to.
On the other-side of the street is an old abandoned [H]otel named "Niagra".
It's in really poor shape, but as you stand looking at it, for a moment you
thought you saw someone, or something, move past a window inside.
Easy Street runs both [E]ast, towards a park and the city wall gate, and
[W]est, to what looks like a dead-end, from here.

BEGIN_DESCRIPTION
Easy Street ends here because of debris from a mostly collapsed apartment
building completely blocking the entire road. From the extensive damage to
the apartments and the others surrounding buildings, you'd guess that some
kind of huge fire-fight once took place here. Only a sliver of the [A]partment
building miraculously stands holding a few rooms on the edge of collapse.
You can, however, head [N]orth between some rubble onto Medial Parkway
towards a huge park. Easy Street runs back [E]ast towards a burned-out car.
The number rats scurrying in the street here is frightening and they seem to
be going [D]own through a manhole in the street that is lieing slightly open.
Looking around, you also realize that most of the recent graffitti on the walls
here is 'rat' related: rat skulls, rat cross-bones, etc.

Only a few rooms are left in the thin remaining sliver of this long
abandoned apartment building. They're all in ruin and open to the city's
harsh elements, except for the one you're currently stand in.
Not only does this room still have all four walls, it's clean and looks
lived-in. Strangely, everything in the room is painted flat-black or white.
The walls are black, except for a few large white circles.
There is only one door out of the room, but the first step is about 80 feet
straight down. Otherwise, you'll have to [R]eturn to the street via the
fire-escape and window you came in through.
